WWE RAW 1000th Episode To Be Massive; Aiming For Mega Rating And To Rocket WWE Into Future. As the Media Man agency has been reporting WWE creative have been advised to treat the July 23rd (U.S date) 1,000th RAW as a major pay-per-view event. The majority of the writing team and officials’ time and effort at the moment is not so much focused on the WWE No Way Out pay-per-view on June 17th but the celebratory RAW that begins a permanent move to three hours

Wrestling bible, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE creative are being pushed hard to come up with a huge angle that will dominate the summer, similar to how the Nexus and CM Punk angles caught on with fans in the past two years. Specifically they have been told to devise a "knock your socks off" type angle that will broaden interest to fans who haven’t watched WWE regularly for the past year. Many fans are calling for Ric Flair to head up a new breed of Four Horseman clique, as well as a potential DX reunion. Internet chat indicates fans want to see "The Showoff" Dolph Ziggler get a major push, and be managed by "The Nature Boy" (if or when he returns to the WWE). Flair recently left TNA Wrestling under a cloud of controversy, not showing up for bookings. WWE officials currently feel the current product is stagnant and are concerned about the poor ratings, as well they should be.

Media Man reports that tickets to the live WWE RAW world tour in Australia has been "fairly show", and is a reflection upon things getting stale, as well as longtime fans wanting more mega stars on the international supershow down under, such as The Rock and Brock Lesnar (both of which are not possible at this time). It's unknown if Flair could make the Australian tour, and even if he did, it would be in a non-wrestler capacity. Flair's star power alone would be enough to kick and chop some new life into the current WWE product, plus would offer a massive boost to merchandising. The Observer's Dave Meltzer also reports that WWE Legends Gene Okerlund, Dusty Rhodes, Roddy Piper, Sgt. Slaughter, Gene Okerlund, Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Jimmy Hart are among those who have been contacted to date about returning for the 1000th episode of RAW. WWE are also looking are other former stars who they haven't used in a long time.

One name that has been mentioned is Bobby "The Brain" Heenan but that would depend on his health. Jesse "The Body" Ventura would also be a hit, even though he's most associated with the Hulk Hogan championship period of WWE, rather than the RAW brand. Unfortunately a number of former RAW legends have passed away such as Randy "Macho Man" Savage, Brian Pillman "The Loose Cannon", Yokozuna and "The Wolverine" Chris Benoit. WWE are currently planning the an old school production feel to the show. As mentioned previously, The Undertaker is constantly being talked about regarding making a special one-off return appearance on the show in the hopes that it may significantly boost ratings and be the shot in the arm that the RAW brand so urgently needs.

WWE top brass (and rarely seen on screen talent, Vince McMahon and daughter, Stephanie McMahon), are also rumoured. Triple H, husband to Stephanie, almost a lock for the much anticipated show. WWE are under huge pressure to deliver a strong rating in the three-hour RAW and if they don’t deliver, the switch to a permanent three hours may look like a failure before. To help prevent this from happening, the WWE are looking to follow the formula they use for pay-per-views, i.e. advertising in a three week TV build, announcing a pay-per-view quality line-up ahead of time and ensuring they have a solid card for match quality.

Stone cold

Steve Austin started out in World Class Championship Wrestling and signed with World Championship Wrestling after the former of the two companies folded. He enjoyed moderate success in the mid-card and tag team divisions with Brian Pillman, but he was fired by WCW executive Eric Bischoff in 1995 supposedly due to Austin being on the injured list too long. (In reality, Austin was not seen as "marketable" by Bischoff.)It was at this point that Austin elected to sign with ECW, where he delivered his now infamous shoot on Mr. Bischoff and the entirety of the WCW management. Later that year, Austin signed with the WWF and began wrestling under the name The Ringmaster with Ted DiBiase as his manager. After a short stint under the aforementioned gimmick, Austin won the King of the Ring Tournament in 1996, and the rest is history.

Austin is one of the most decorated superstars who has ever stepped in the ring. With his combined WCW and WWE title reigns, the man is a six-time Tag-Team Champion, two-time Television Champion, two-time United States Champion, two-time Intercontinental Champion, a six-time WWE Champion, a former King of the Ring and the only man to ever win the WWE Royal Rumble event three times.

The Rock

The Rock began his career as a WWE guy. Due to his father, grandfather and many cousins already being in the wrestling business, Rock more or less already had a foot in the door. He had a brief stint in Jerry Lawler's United States Wrestling Association before coming to the WWF.He was immediately thrust down the fans' throats as a face, and after a short time, the fans simply didn't buy it. They turned on him so quickly, it was decided to turn Rock heel and join the Nation of Domination, where he began to develop his now trademark personality. The Rock began his wrestling career in 1995 and was active within the WWE for 8 years, making sporadic appearances from 2004 to current day.

Dave Batista

Former World Heavyweight Champion Batista spoke with The Daily Star in the UK to promote The Scorpion King 3 and talk about his MMA career.

Hulk Hogan

Ah, the 1990s. A happier, halcyon time, when Vince McMahon’s company was beginning to spread its oily tenterhooks over the globe, and four wrestlers got all the media attention here in the UK—"The British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith, Bret "The Hitman" Hart, the Undertaker and Hulk Hogan. The latter two are still a staple of pro wrestling now, of course, with 'Taker playing a central role in WrestleMania for the past 19 years with his epic streak, and Hogan in his part-ring, part-Creative position at TNA

Terry Bollea was born on August 11, 1953. As a musician in Florida, the bar he worked at was frequented by wrestlers. He was trained by Hiro Matsuda, who broke Hulk's leg on his first day and gained his respect by coming back when his leg healed. A few years into his career, he was given the name Hulk Hogan by Vince McMahon Sr. who wanted an Irish villain

Best Great Khali Matches of His Career

I was a fan of Great Khali in WWE. He was one of the better "monster" heels in the past decade, and he did his job as World Champion in 2007.The Great Khali was build up as an unstoppable man, who couldn't be beat. That was his character, and it worked perfectly (for a year or two). Here are my favorite matches from his WWE career. The interview also showed Khali to be extremely religious and gentle. He actually meditates every day along with going to the gym .Khali also said that spending time with his family is extremely important to him.He also says that since he has a strong body he doesn't mind taking too many chair shots and dangerous bumps.

Khali is extremely private. His life outside the ring consists mainly of going to the gym, resting himself and spending time with his family. He appeared to be really honest, grateful and humble. Khali also says that he doesn't have a Driver's license and thats why his wife has to do all the driving. He also said that a normal car can't accommodate him which is why he plans to buy a hummer. His favorite food is Rice and Dal (lentil) curry

John Cena

John Cena is the wrestling embodiment of the hip-hop culture. Like Enimen, John Cena uses his rapping ability to insult those he doesn't like. He even personalized the WWE title into a piece of bling-bling featuring a spinning WWE logo. This young superstar has reached the top of his profession and his future only looks brighter.

In 1990, the WWE changed forever

A man named Mark Calaway made his debut in the company as “Kane the Undertaker,” quickly dropped that Kane part and started his path toward becoming one of the biggest superstars in wrestling history.

Seven years later, “Kane” returned. Only, this wasn’t “Kane the Undertaker.”It was The Big Red Monster, Kane (real name: Glen Jacobs), who made his WWE debut as The Undertaker’s half-brother at Badd Blood: In Your House on Oct. 5, 1997.Ever since that moment, both The Undertaker and Kane have been as big a part of the WWE as anyone during that span.Being that they’re storyline brothers, similar in size and gimmick, too, they will always be compared side by side. That’s not going to change anytime soon, either.

Kelly Kelly

Kelly Kelly (real name Barbie Blank) shot to the top of the WWE Divas division but it looks like that she may be done with the company. She has been granted time off and many believe that she will not return for awhile or at all. If she does not come back, the most popular Diva will be gone.

WILL Kelly Kelly Ever Return to Prominence in the Divas Division?

As we head into the summer, WWE diva Kelly Kelly finds her once-promising career in an extremely precarious position. While the former Divas Champion remains popular with the fans (even ranking highly in this year's Maxim's Hot 100 list), she is often over-looked and marginalized by the booking team, only making sporadic appearances on Raw and pay-per-views.

A potentially-promising storyline with Eve Torres was hinted at a few times on television earlier this year, with an outraged Kelly repeatedly voicing her disgust about her former friend's despicable behavior. Ultimately though, no program ever emerged from this, with the company swiftly moving Eve on to other things.

Indeed, the only time the time two girls came to blows was during a short tag match at WrestleMania 28—and that bout existed mainly to get over celebrity guest Maria Menounos. Eve and Kelly (and Beth Phoenix, who also participated) came off as complete afterthoughts.

The return of Layla El probably hasn't helped Kelly either. After sensationally returning and winning the Divas Championship from Nikki Bella at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view, the former NBA dancer has fitted snugly into the role of Raw's top babyface diva.

The WWE is busy these days trying to create new stars, but just because the company is looking toward the future, that doesn't mean it should totally ignore the past.

While the WWE obviously has some established veterans who are helping carry the the company and some up-and-coming stars looking do the same, it can still look back in its history to find some major names that could do the same.

Now, I'm not saying that the WWE should bring in a boatload of wrestlers to try to improve the company. But bringing in a handful to help turn the company's future around certainly couldn't hurt. There are plenty of legends and Hall of Famers out there who could improve the quality of WWE programming.
